Delete your account

This page is for members — the students, clients and athletes who sign into the Linyup app because a studio, coach or club invited them. It explains how to delete your account, what is removed, and what is kept.

You do not need the app installed to make the request.

The fastest way: in the app

Open the Linyup app and go to Profile → Delete account. It takes one tap and you can undo it (see below).

Without the app

Email hello@linyup.com with the subject Delete my account, from the email address you use with your studio, and tell us the name of your studio.

We need those two things because they are what identify your record — a studio may have several people with the same name, and we will not act on a request we cannot tie to a specific person. We will confirm by replying to that address.

What happens next

Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days from the request.

It keeps working for that whole window. You can still sign in, see your bookings, and check in. If you change your mind, sign in and cancel — nothing further happens, and there is no penalty for having asked. This grace period exists so an accidental tap costs you nothing.

At the deadline your record is anonymised. The details that identify you — your name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth and any notes about you — are removed.

What survives, and why. Records of things that actually happened — payments, invoices, and consents you gave — remain, with no person attached to them. Your studio is required by law to keep financial and consent records for a number of years, and it cannot meet that duty if they disappear when someone leaves. What is left cannot be traced back to you.

If you want your studio to erase something beyond this, ask the studio directly. Your studio decides what it records about you and is the controller of that data; Linyup runs the software on its behalf as its processor. Our Privacy Policy explains this split, and Section 2.6 sets out the rights you can exercise against the controller.
